MILD AND LOW ALLOY STEEL
Available in spools, coils, drums and
|Triple deoxidized wire for TIG/MIG welding on all carbon
steels. Tensile strength exceeds base metal on single pass weld in
low carbon steels.
|Provides high strength ductile welds; producing x-ray sound welds;
for welding mild and low alloy steels of 50,000 psi min. yield strength.
|For areas where lower silicon mild steel wires are unsatisfactory on
slightly contaminated weldments; used on all CO2 semi-automatic and
automatic apparatus. Excellent deoxidizing characteristics.
|Produces high strength weld deposits, ductility, impact properties. For
welding medium carbon and sulfur bearing free-machining steels. Good
welds even through mill scale, rust.
|For gas metal arc welding of 1-1/4 Cr and 1/2 Mo steel.
|For welding chromium steels. For gas metal arc welding of 2-1/4
Cr and 1 Mo steel.
|High strength wires with high toughness at sub-zero
temperatures; for welding high strength, low-alloy steels.
FOR SUBMERGED ARC WELDING
|A low alloy nickel and manganese sub arc welding wire intended for
moderately low temperature service. Excellent low temperature toughness.
|Mild steel. Uses: butt and heavy fillet welds subject to large
shrinkage stresses; wide variety of mild steels of 50,000 psi min. tensile
|High tensile. For light gauge thickness of mild or low alloy steels.
Uses: ASTM A53 -- welded and seamless steel pipe; ASTM A283 -- mild steel
plates of structural quality, Grades A, B, C.
|High mang. For mild or low alloy steels of 50,000 psi min. yield
strength. Uses: heavy bridge sections, boilers, pressure vessels, ship
hull sections, similar structural shapes.
|High mang. moly. Used for butt and fillet welds in carbon-moly steels,
high tensile steels and alloy steels; for steels such as ASTM A202, A204,
|For submerged arc welding of 1-1/4 Cr and 1/2 Mo and other chrome-moly
|For submerged arc welding of 2-1/4 Cr and 1 Mo steel.
|For welding heat treatable low alloy steels such as SAE 4100 series.
Some higher carbon steels require preheat of 300 degrees to 350 degrees
Fahrenheit; other grades readily welded without preheat.
|Low alloy hard surfacing wire; good resistance to abrasion. For
resurfacing crane and mine car wheels, sheeves, carbon and low alloy
steel shafting; welding crawler tractor rollers and idlers.
|AISI Grade 8620. For welding low alloy high strength steels, particularly
